Confidence is the ability to trust that your skills are of equal caliber, if not higher, than those of whom you are competing against.
Ego is believing those around you, in addition to what they bring to any given table, encapsulate a substantially lower level of worth than you, in addition to whatever skill set YOU happen to bring to any given table.
Though,
Wanna know the most captivating notion about all that was aforementioned?
Ya?
Cool.
We're getting somewhere.
We all eventually leave
this world
with the

Here is my subjective take on the matter:
A picturesque perception on financial competence and notable success where I, Tal Sahar, have the complete luxury of living a comfortable and undeniably stress free lifestyle.
A lifestyle delineated in such a way where if my future (delinquent a$$) kids want Rice Krispies AND finger sandwiches after their T-Ball game, I can even go as far as to offer them some ColdStones ice cream as well.

What a time to be alive!
Or is it?
I feel as though this picturesque dream of mine is easily vanquished by those who unapologetically chase this falsified notion of an ‘American Dream’, where success, in its most basic form, deems representative of a

Drools over the clout?
Goes as far as to even CHASE the clout?

Case rested.

We had a team function the other night.
One that consisted of team building and goal oriented activities.
We were asked to think of a ‘ME’ word and a ‘WE’ word, that we would ultimately revert to for the rest of season.
Curious as to what my two words were?
Have no fear, Tal is h-
Forget it. Let me save myself from the second hand embarassment that I would have unfortunately bestowed upon you had I chosen to finish the corny statement above.
So,
My ME word was ‘baddie’.
My WE word was ‘baddIES’.
I know. Creative.
(Disclaimer: my ME word was actually ‘confidence’ and my WE word was actually ‘positivity’)
As each of my teammates voiced their examples, I found it intriguing as to how DIFFERENT, yet, ADMISSIBLE each word was.
How, contrary to popular belief, every living being in this overpopulated planet of ours, has SOMETHING ANIMATE to provide us with.
I sound cliche don’t I.
You can be honest. I'll take the hit, though with my head held high.
My point in writing this is to exemplify a notion that we already know.
(Redundancy. LOVE THAT for myself.)
That notion being:
Ego is trash, and we are all unequivocally dope as fuck.
But what I find to be quite funny, is that despite allusively comprehending such a notion (for the most part), the desire to attain such high-order status is still so seemingly prevalent.

Ya. For clarification purposes, best believe my ‘just wear anything’ is comprised of a sweater 4 sizes too big and an undeniably flooded pair of sweats.
Fashion statement.

Fun Fact: We are so incredibly small in this great big world.
And what we do in this life o' sin is accredited ONLY in this life o' sin. But what about afterwards?
Though, it IS somewhat interesting to reflect on how we truly believe that it does.
Within reason of course.
As many of you may be aware, considering I adamantly post "Gameday" photos on my instagram stories,
Is that Yes, I am in fact a collegiate basketball playing superstar.
...in the making.
Oh! and did I mention we beat USC?
#sorry
...notsorry Miss Kayla Overbeck.
This is me, uh,
..clout chasing?

As I was saying,
This sport is notorious for encapsulating these egotistical characteristics that we all know and love.
I have witnessed it first hand.
Girls will unapologetically judge your character based on how keen your skill set is.
And, I mean, to each his own
But fair to say,
Seems a wee bit wicked wouldn’t ya think?
Or expected, considering how society is so quick to judge a person by their despondencies.
In life, I have come to notice that people feel as though they have to EXPLAIN why they are choosing to pursue a career that is unaccompanied by an attractive pension..
or EXPLAIN why they are pursuing a certain individual when that said individual is

out of their given league?

Unless?

It's your life.
And ya live it once.
ONLY once.
So why has this unwarranted construct where we, as a society, find it almost imperative to ultimately justify our happiness?
When reflecting upon all that I have aforementioned, I’ll end this SHORT (well I wrote this before I finished thinking it was gonna be short) post voicing the despondencies I unfortunately have in regards to this topic.
I don’t really understand why it is socially acceptable to invalidate the importance of someone else’s existance.
"Existence"
dRaMaTiC word much
But then again, dramatic completely invalidates the way I feel doesn't it?
In all actuality, I don’t really understand why self esteem, or lack there of, is even deemed prevalent within a society that is essentially,
..well
biologically** all the same.
Yes, we all think differently.
Though, the notion that we do, in fact, think so disparately from one another should encapsulate the beauty within society, not induce conceit.
I mean,
If Angelina Jolie were to ever reject a dinner invitation from yours truly
Well, to say I wouldn’t throw hands would be an understatement?
Let the record show that considering I’d probably lose and Angie would get to maintain her near perfect facial physique, is most likely..
..the ONLY reason
I would actually condone such an unwarranted reaction.
Also,
Disclaimer 2.0:
I have TMZ on speed dial..
If speed dial is even a thing now a days.
So the fight itself would also quite possibly spark my (more than overdue) rise to fame.
Yew.
Closing Remarks:
To Judge is exemplary of ego.
Judging a person by their looks.
Their tendencies.
Their likes.
Their dislikes.
Judging someone indirectly projects the notion that your perception on all things -life- is more valid than that of someone else's.
I am guilty of this.
We all are.
Though, to become aware of it, at least in my opinion, is a cool indicator of a person's EQ.
Unless?
Nahhhhhhh.
It's your life.
And ya live it once.
ONLY once.

I practice the awareness.
Doesn't mean I'm perfect.
None of us are.
But it's a start.
Anyway ,
who am I to judge.

SOOO, TAKE HOME:
Ego sucks.
Everyone is dope and exceptional in their own weird, quirky, and sometimes unexplainable way.
Except assholes.
Assholes suck.
Almost as much as ego.
